How to create simple short videos with just pics and text, fast?

    I'm looking for a video software (or site) that you can just throw in some pictures and text and it can create nice short video (using a template or something) with pleasant copyright free music in the background.
    That's all. I need it in a way that can be done fast, like few mins per video or so.
    Any recommendations?

    If you think, you are getting any software which has more automation than, macromedia swish... well, then, wish u luck.... :)

    Pitivi video editor is fairly easy to work with. I use it on the Ubuntu OS.

    Animoto is the way to go ... it's fun and it's free. ... Also there are other similar online editors like Flixtime and Jaycut.

    I'd like to recommend HD video editor to you. I always use it to edit video and make funny video for uploading to Youtube, it's easy to use and the quality is awesome, you can crop, cut, join, edit video with it easily. It also embeds many special effects, you can even add text to video or add background music, that's pretty cool. It worth a try.
