    It's very simple , for example if you have a Photoshop CS4 you can make a mask like this :


    photoshop_mask.jpg ​

    This simple step :
    use a face photos, and then crop it clearly
    cut it with oval shape tool
    crop this part (eyes and mouth)
    Make it same color

    In your thumb image simply press "ctrl+left click" on the graphic and it will select it for you then click the quick mask option at the bottom. which looks like a "circle in a rectangle"
