How to create gadget / widget software

    I want to create small gadgets / widget softwares.
    what do i need to use, tools for that?
    what are the most commonly used tools for this?

    I just want to create little downloadable gadget tools, maybe sell them or give them away.

    There are a number of free programs you can use to write code. Just do a search for the language you want to use and you will find a bunch. A lot of them are even good for more than one language.

    I am noticing that more and more peopl are switching to languages like Python or Ajax and others that are more compatible with php. Ruby with rails is another choice.

    Javascript and the other languages like that are beginning to fade away I think.

    I wanted to do the same sort of thing. where people can get a gadget from your website and upload it on to there site. this will build your page rank up also. its called linkbate
