    Hi guys,
There are 3 ways to create back links :-

    1. Post regularly and then ask for a link, or post a link eventually. Make sure that you add information and quality to their site before trying to create a backlink from it. (No one likes a freeloader!)

    2. Find older, high PR sites that still have guestbooks setup. Simply enter a nice comment that features links to your website.

    3. Search in Google for high ranking blog sites that feature comments by typing in "[your keywords here]" "powered by wordpress" "leave a comment" -"no comments". Once you gain some results, go through the sites and make sure that they do not have the "no follow" code.

    Thanks.............

Are you talking about using automated software to get thousands in one go? If thats the case then I would strongly advice you against it. Instead build links yourself gradually from blogs and forums.

Yup, that rss submission and article writing sure does take awhile. Although seems like the quality back links from come article submissions.

Creating too many backlinks in a short time is always a bad idea, the aim is to make them look natural, so start with articles to the top article directories, write about something you are passionate about

Yes Article marketing works great. It's not quick but if the articles are well written they will give you long term backlinks. I have some articles written almost 3 years ago that are still getting syndicated.

this is mixed up with social media - which is not actually treated as a backlink

Right approach would getting QUALITY backlinks - Backlinks with related content only. A Equal ratio forum/blog/articles would be better.
