How to Create an Internet Radio??

    I want to create a radio that will connect to a database and shuffle the songs and play them for the user (like that of myspace.com)

    Last time I made a web player I used a server for web, one for mysql and I got a Wowza server to stream the files. IMHO they're better than icecast, just needs a bit of a setup, but most hosting companies set this up for you.

    Look for companies advertising a SHOUTcast or Icecast server with AutoDJ software, they'll provide the backend.

    Companies like ourselves provide Shoutcast/Icecast hosting with AutoDJ which provides a dynamic streaming protocol over nsv in mp3 format most commonly. Shoutcast/Icecast requires the installation of Shoutcast DNAS onto a linux/windows platform and Icecast similar. Icecast is more complicated to setup and also enc-operates a login setup for streams requiring username/passwords. Hope this helps.

    Make a playlist at any mp3 playing site online then contect the playlist using api or frames behind the website and make it your radio channel...

    Do you have a server/host at the moment? Going to be pointless trying to run this from a personal computer. You simply won't get the requirements internet wise to run this on a large scale.

    I said that I have those songs on the server, i just need a script or something to shuffle those songs and play them for the user. (Means the song will be downloaded on the users system). LIke that of Myspace. Just open http://www.myspace.com/enriqueiglesias/radio/
