    You can use Open Office. Write the ebook and convert it right away to PDF file format.

    Once you've completed the document, you can place it into .pdf format via pdfactory.com (www.fineprint.com), then create a cover for it through coverfactory.com.

    Use a PDF Factory Pro...
    You can add password in your pdf, and many feature like :
    - do not allow to copy paste
    - do not allow to print
    -etc....

    Look into lulu.com. You can upload word documents and it converts to pdf for you. There is also a platform to sell ebooks, but you can give it away for free as well.

    I like to know if there is any ebook program that will connect to a website everytime it is open. So that you can check the buyer is the same.

    Also, what program do people use to store the ebook so that they can download it instantly?
