i'm curious about creating a product of my own to sell on CB and ask affiliates to sell it for me since i'm not very successful with selling other people's stuff, so maybe i'll earn a little more this way... but i need basic guidance with creating my own product (e.g. an ebook) as how to reasearch the market, choosing a topic, how to create it, how to write good sales letter, how to attract affiliates, how to decide on the pricing, how does CB work with publishers etc etc.. can somebody help me with this or tell me where to find resources? thanks in advance
Start by finding something you are interested in and also sells like hotcakes on clickbank. Look at the products in clickbank and see the conversion rates for how many customers looked and how many actually bought, then choose to make a ebook on the subjects that sell best. The rest is up to your wallet and skills... Are you a good writer? If so just keyword creating ebook and buy and download software and create your ebook. Or you can hire someone to write your ebook for you and then get it published in clickbank. It's not to complicated to get the ebook made its more the question will it sell well and how many people are looking for that info in clickbank. I believe that's the question you will have to answer.
I created my first e-book and clickbank didn't approve it. Bummed me out. I thought I wen with their guidelines, but apparently not. So, I'm going to try and sell it myself w/o them. Wish me luck!
I think finding something heaps of people will buy is hard becuase there are soooo many products on DB.
Many guru's ebooks say: hear what people is talking about on forums and give them what they're talking about. This may seem obvious but in my experience I have found it working.
You can download my ebook, inside there is a blueprint to write your own PDF. It's easy: Write Your Own Ebook It's at the end of the PDF. Note: this is an affiliate techniques, since when people buy your ebook, you will be able to send them your related affiliate programs recommendations and make money in the back end.
I would say, and this really is a good tip I am sure about it, is to sit down one day and imagine you are talking to a complete stranger. That stranger is finding it hard to initiate conversation. Look at yourself in the mirror whilst doing this and spark up random conversation, talk about things youve noticed recently, something you have recently got into. Imagine even that it is a job interview and the interviewer asks you to pick a topic and talk about it for ten minutes without pause. Then, when you have that topic, that's your niche. Thats the first idea of a topic for an ebook. Go to Clickbank and search for keywords that match your niche. If you get no hits whatsoever, then you really know its a niche. For example, I am really into trivia and pub quizzes. I love random useless knowledge, but only when its clever knowledge, not who was born ten years ago and so on, eg: Q: What, since June 1986 travels in a clockwise rotation at 12 meters per second? A: The Mexican wave, started during the mexican world cup in June 1986 That sort of stuff fascinates me. So, in this example, I could come up with a whole bunch of this knowledge and spout it off parrot fashion when asked in a job interview scenario, or when feeling like I have to make conversation with a difficult stranger in a bar when all things go quiet. Sad I know, but anyhoo, stick with me here... My next trick would be to think of how I could sell my knowledge, either the trivia itself or even guides to writing trivia questions or researching trivia online. I would write an ebook detailing the topic of how to write and research quiz questions and THEN write a second ebook giving, say, 500 such quiz questions to throw in as a bonus, always try to get two similar niches and offer one as a free bonus for another. You can always sell the second one with the first as a bonus if the first does not sell too well. Spend hours, days, weeks and even months researching and backing up with evidence and quotes your chosen niche. Remember, the more research and proof you have, the more chance you have of selling the damn book, no idiot will buy a book when presented with wild claims. He needs proof and bait. Finally, only when you are sure that your book is sellable, ask a complete stranger to read it (send it to him/her for free) and await their comments, perhaps even pay a copywriter to look over it. Yeah its expensive but if you get a non-convert converted, then the initial investment was worth it. Only submit to clickbank after you have had several thumbs up about the ebook, including yourself, you have a website that really tempts the potential buyer into shelling out for the product and when you almost have them hooked you offer them an equally good product as a free bonus... hook, line and sinker, you have a niche AND bait. Now, get thinking, you know it makes sense!! Just make sure you only write about something you are passionate about. If you find yourself writing about something you like writing about, 2000 words can very quickly become 4000 then 16000 and so on. The energy flows out of someone who enjoys writing about a subject close to their heart. Choose something you have no interest in and before you even get to 1000 words, the word "drag" will spring to mind, I guarantee it! Finally, good luck and let us know how you get on, although probably better not as your initial vague question gives away your desire to just make money
