how to create a website to promote cj affiliate marketing products?

hi all!i am kinda new at it and would like some tips from experts on how to start with.what are the steps to doing it?

 

Buy a domain name.
Buy hosting for it.
Find yourself a free website template.
Ad content to the template and interwine your affiliate links and banners into the layout of the template and body of the content.
Upload your pages to your hosting account.
Finally do some article marketing, link building, SEO, and anything else you can think of to get a targeted flow of visitors that would be willing to purchase the products and services that are offered.

 

You are making it looks so easy but it never has, at least with me

 

I think the most difficult part is how to promote the site and get traffic to it.

 

I agree. Over the last 3 years I have had a lot of websites I have specifically created to advetise CJ's advetisers. I will tell you one thing: AdWords (the Google owned advertising company) doesn't let your ads out easily with those types of sites. On everage I pay about 10 cents a click to get me out on the CONTENT NETWORK. It is not cheap. To get on Google SEARCH with those sites you will be spending 50 cents to 10 bucks per click, depending on your area of advertising.

Do not listen to all the bull crap about blogging and back links. You won't get any traffic with those or make anything.

So... you won't make much unless you spend a lot in advertising. Which brings me to another point. Those who claim that they have the GOOGLE SECRET - don't. Don't buy anything from them. They just want to make money off of you. After you have bought their secret you won't make a dime.

I hope you understand.

 

Isn't the affiliate Guru Nab in DP doing mostly on blogging and back links and driving organic traffic via SEO route instead of PPC? (success subject to hard working and time)

PPC these days are a lot harder for affiliates to make a profit.

 

Guru Nab? I know you meant to say Nabs. Are you one of his worshipers? You Indians crack me up. You will worship anything that gives you some cheap significance.

 

BTW, what makes him/her an Indian guru? I mean all he/she has shown you was an image of "his/her" earnings? Can you tell me, what makes you so sure of anything he/she says?

well, nothing makes me so sure of anything he/she says are true just like nothing makes me so sure of anything you say . I think you get the point. I absolutely know that there're lot of ppl faking stuff in forums.

 

Chill out guys. Anyway, i'm into CJ myself and my blog is doing fine. And I do not use adwords (because I can't afford it) hehe. SO I pretty much use unpaid advertising.

But the truth is, no e-book out there has the secret on making it big online. Why? Because there is no secret. Why pay for something that doesn't exist? Right?

 

That is so not true - if you even begin to believe that then you are wasting your time. sure paid search is good to kick start a site, but for long term traffic you need search engine traffic which can be very targeted especially with some long tail keywords, and its all free.

to rank in the search engines where there is even a little competition you need some page rank, pages with page rank will rank higher than those without, so to achieve page rank you need some sites linking to your site.

to get obtain links there are many ways, good content and they will come naturally, link exchange with like niche sites, blogs, social bookmarking - there are many ways.

read some posts on the seo forum and you will learn how to get good traffic for free. good luck

That's a theory. Do you get any traffic that way personally? Can you describe your success in doing that? Now many hits do you get a day? What is your conversion rate? For how many years have your been doing this?

Why do you people always rely on some weird sources on the web? Those who say: Blog and you will get traffic - do not understand that it doesn't work that way. They can get some insignificant amount of traffic but it is not and never will be enough to make a living out of it.

I tell you half of the posts I read on this forum sound so weird to me. The only way to get good traffic is through PPC campaings and there's no way around it. All other means are bogus and are emphasized only to get some inexperienced posters to buy into your ideas and click on a few ads you offer on your site(s). And maybe to buy BANS or whatever you have to offer.

Firstly I object to being collectively lumped into a group referred to as "you people"

secondly this forum is meant to be here to help and assist other members, your antagonistic posts certainly do not seem to be written in keeping with the spirit of the forum

thirdly yes I get traffic that way and have been for a couple of years now, your mindset seems to consider that ppc is the only way to go. as I mentioned ppc is a good way to start a new site and in circumstances it can convert on the long term, BUT it is not the only way as many other members will tell you.

there are plenty of post here and probably more in the seo forum on how to generate good traffic without paying for it. If you want to save yourselve some money I suggest you read up on it. Have a nice day

 

You are so right! I have to agree.

I have google position 1 on most relevant keywords to my site, and they don't bring in 3% of what i make when my PPC is running.

 

It is a frustrating business to be in. It takes at least a few years to wade through all the crap and start to get a sense of what is legitimate. There are always new scams etc. I guess the challenge is to not throw the baby out with the bath water. Just because you can't get a technique to work and bring you a profit doesn't mean it won't work.

I guess providing proof or step by step instructions would be helpful to most people otherwise they will doubt what you are saying.

I think the hardest thing about Internet Marketing is not giving up when there are some many reasons to do just that.
