How to create a sitemap for 500+ pages?

Hi,

I think it's a common question and has been posted hundreds of times...

So, now I'm asking too - I require an easy-to-use fast tool for creating XML sitemaps for sites that have 500+ pages...

I need something automatic. Web-based, preferably. Free.

Recommendations?

The combination of purely webbased + many urls + free would be quite rare. There are some that offers more than 500, but it is hard to allow people crawl e.g. a million pages for free if running on the webserver

For Windows software you could try GSiteCrawler (free) or A1 Sitemap Generator (30 days trial).

 

Is your website static or based on a CMS like wordpress or joomla? If it's static then you can use a third party software like WonderwebWare SiteMap Generator to automatically generate a site map. If you don't want to install a program then you can use a web tool like https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

There are different types of sitemaps used by Google.

URL Sitemap
Image Sitemap
Video Sitemap
News Sitemap
Product Sitemap (RSS Feed)

If you are using cPanel web hosting check to see if Attracta is enabled in your SEO tools. It is free and will generate an XML Site map and take care of your submissions.

Why, is the 1,000 page quantity another limit?

For this you need to create a dynamic sitemap.
1. Create a sitemap.xml, in it create a link to to sitemaps, one static and other dynamic.
2. In static keep your links you want.
3. In dynamic generate links dynamically thorough program.
