How to create a menu linking to Section and/or Category?

I would like to create a menu linking to a section and/or category. I was trying to do many ways but i could not discover how to. So, if anyone can help.

Have a look at "Managing Menus" in the official Joomla! documentation http://docs.joomla.org/Administrators#Managing_Menus

 

Allow them to show by selecting them to show and be active in the article parameters window under :

http://www.[COLOR="MediumTurquoise"]EXAMPLE[/COLOR].com/administrator/index.php?option=com_content

Code (markup):

Replace "EXAMPLE" with your domain name.

It is not a full fledged "menu" but I am guessing this is what you are referring to.
