how to create 404 file

    i just changed few pages url surely it will decrease my ranking in SE so i will lose visitors now wht to do? do i need to create 404 file ?

    Well, create a page called error404.htm
    Then in htaccess

    Why not just redirect false page to your home page ? That way, clients dont see a 404 page, but your home page.

    Just create a file...

    404.shtml

    Fill it in with all crap you want and its done ;)
