How to count the backlinks?

Backlinks will be differ based on the search engines. For example if you want to count the backlinks indexed by Google, do the following steps

Goto: www.google.com

Type "link:websiteurl"
<example --> link:www.abc.com>

Now it show link back for a website

Yes this is a great tool. For checking backlinks and anchor text I use Market Samurai.

 

backlinkwatch is my favourite one. There are a lot of tools available online, but you can try BLW, because it is very easy to use.

such as..

*site: Search only one website

*link: linked pages

*info: Info about a page

*related: Related pages

 

There are sites that will do this for you, use the yahoo backlinks tool.

SEO spyglass is the best free tool out there. It provides rank checker and shows you the value of each link too.

 

Use Yahoo site explorer. Works ok. Better way is Advance Link Manager.

 

iwebtool is good back link checker, but to check google backlinks you have to use this

There is currently no tool in existance which will display your backlinks or anybody elses particulalrly accurately, if you want a rough estimate yahoos pretty good the only issue is that it evaluates links which other SE's wont.

 

More backlinks = Better rank.

How to do backlinks?

• Blog commenting.
• Forum Posting.
• Social Bookmarking - An example is Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon
• Writing Articles and post them into article drectories.

Yahoo Site Explorer is perhaps one of the best resources. I am very frazzled that Google does not allow for full backlink checking! Backlink Watch is also very good as well as many of the downloadable programs, like Market Samurai.

 

Ouch, that's a bummer! It seems that more and more people are using this system to check backlinks. Just goes to show that the SEO world is going crazy!
