    Hi there,

I am looking for a tutorial to help me copying some large files from my vps to a dedicated server via SSH.

    Thank you in advance.

This can be done by ftp, scp or rsync.

    1. ftp hostname/ip address . Give username and password. Use put command to upload the file to the remote server.

    2. scp /path/yourfile user@remoteserverip:/path/destination/newfile

    3. rsync -avz -e ssh /path/foldername user@remoteserverip:/path/destination

You will be asked for the credentials of remote server.

    Hello,

I would recommend rsync. Are you trying to move large files? Archive?
