    Open your video in Movie Maker and then resave it (under the "finish movie tab). Use the save to computer option. Should be a settings details choice. There you can choose to save as WMV or AVI...obviously you'd choose AVI. That should save a new AVI file to your comp. It also tells you this in the "Movie Making Tips" tab when you open movie maker. It's under "how to save and share movies". Hope this helps. You can also do it with Adobe Premeire if you have it.

    also, save a wmv. then use ReplayConverter (the best converter)
    to convert it to aviu or anything

    Please let me know if you get it figured out. I may be ignorant when it comes to website development but I do have some experiense with video editing. I use WMM a lot and Adobe. Let me know if I can help.

    Save as WMV and use a program called Divx Converter(divx) to convert it into .AVI.
