Since he wants to convert the format, it is clear that he do not want to pay for or even download for free a bulky software, Internet connections speeds are damn too slow in india.

Just use Google docs that's all. You really don't need MS office at all..

There are tons of free websites who will do that for you. Just search it on google. However when you save the document in office 07 you can save as .doc, .pdf etc.

Just change the file extension from docx to doc and it will hopefully work.
To do this make sure that you make a backup of your docx document. Then you need to enable in folder options or somewhere to show extensions for knows types of files.
Alternatively, you can do what I do. Download WinRar, put all the docx in a single zip or rar archive.
There you'll see .docx next to a file name, just right click on it an go rename (or press F2) and rename it from filename.docx to filename.doc.
I've tested it with MS Office 2007 and it works like a charm, so I'm guessing that it will work with you as well. :)
Make sure to create a backup just in case.

When you use office 2003 to open office 2007, it will pop a box which tell you down load a installer, you will read the filles in office 2003. This operation is automatic and easy.
