Hi, I got a docx file but cannot open it with ms-word. I tried to convert it using docx2doc.com but it doesn't work anymore i think. Any other free solution? Thanks
you can conevrt it using media-convert.com or download msoffice viewer for docx for machines using ms office 2003 http://www.google.co.in/url?q=http:...hgIwAA&usg=AFQjCNE1z--k89UrTFkN8I9t3f2Qw1598g Regards Alex
Tell them to send in .doc file format or send the articles via gmail. Then you can open the attached files in html and copy/paste the articles in .doc file.
You can download Converter from microsoft website as stated above. Also if your friends have MS 2007, they can open and "Save As" .doc file
Older MS Word versions have a plugin which you can download from Microsoft site, once that is installed you should be able to open .docx files normally.
You can also send it to yourself over gmail and then open it in html view... Then you can copy it to your 2003...
Go to this site (it is not my site) and convert your docx document to doc free. http://www.docx2doc.com/convert/docx-to-doc GL
If you just want to view it, simply upload it to google docs ( or attact it to an email in gmail ) and see it in online viewer.. Simple ! regards
There is one more great method as explained in this blog http://www.techcreeper.com/tweaks/reading-docx-files-in-firefox.html
I like the Open Office solution best. Once Open Office is downloaded and installed on your computer you do not have to be online to convert docx to doc. Plus, I'm partial to FREE software
