How to contact someone with private domain registration?

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by teecamo, Feb 13, 2010.

I'm genuinely interested in buying a domain that is owned by someone else with private whois registration. The website is essentially parked...they have some content up, but thats all. There is no apparent way to contact them. Is there any other way to reach them?

    Thanks!

Whois privacy is not only to prevent spamming, but also when the owner doesn't want to sell the domain no matter what or how much money can you offer

Sorry, I don't think you can do something about and if it's parked even worst because it's obviously setup to monetize from parking.

You can still contact them through the private email address in the WHOIS - it is a valid email address. Whether they decide to respond is another matter.

..or you can always try and contact the Parking company who is hosting the name/site. They might be able to contact the actual owner of the name, unless the user clearly wishes not to be 'disturbed' :D

I know someone has contact me through the email in the private whois (so far as I know any email sent to those email will be forwarded to the client's email), maybe you should try?

It doesn't matter if the person has private whois, you can still send an email to the private whois email address & it will direct that message to the owners email address.

You said that domain name is parked. I suppose you can try to get in touch with the owner through this parking service they offer

Contact the owner through the email id on the whois, most of time it automatically forwarded to the owner of domain. Otherwise sometimes webmaster@domainname may also work sometimes, if the catch all is activated. Google the domain name and see if history records shows anything relevant. Hope this helps!!

Why not, domain history shows the records, if some point of time owner missed privacy settings, then Domain spider captures the original data of the owner into the records, but it comes at a price.
