    send them a PM,

And you could report the thread where you were scammed. But DarkX is right. Nothing can be done about the negative iTrader.

[sarcasm]The best way is submitting several posts in the same thread (and include your message to the Mod in one of them)...[/sarcasm]

I did this (without the message to the Mod) and it took a Mod 30 mn to merge my posts.

I reported an illegal sale of one of my product 10 days ago and I'm still without any response...

    Funny site !

I sent a PM to "digitalpoint" about needing to modify an orignial thread post to include some ground rules for posters. Is that the right person to contact? Or should I be contacting someone else?

Just report the thread, using the button that looks like this: [IMG]. That will send a PM to all mods & admins. :D

They aren't doing anything majorly bad... just some things that annoy me.

Ex: Person 1 responds to my thread and adds a little self promotion to his post.

I am fine with that part.

Then person 2 comes along and does not even respond to my thread's original question at all... but just posts "PM Me I am Interested", even though person 1 said to "PM Me if you are interested."

I simply don't want my thread bombarded with people responding to other peoples self promotion efforts.

I just wanted to modify my original thread post to include these rules for future posters. I don't want to punish the current posters since I had not explicitly said not to do these things.

That's thread hijacking and it's against the rules at DP. You should report it.

I don't want to be one of those people that punishes users without giving them a chance to improve. I posted a reply after the incident stating these new rules. I also stated I would leave negative rep for any future occurences. Hopefully since that was only the 4th post for the thread future posters will see it, but I would still like to add it to the original thread post. The way I laid it out to them was this. I said I would be okay with self promotion on the thread, as long as each post contributed/answered the original question that the thread was created for. And that it also did not get bombarded with all of the "PM Me I'm Interested" posts. Because that would in fact mean my thread would be hijacked, because eventually noone would be answering my original question for the thread. The reason I got upset was because the person who replied with a "PM Me I'm Interested" didn't even respond to my thread's question.

Moderators cannot edit iTrader. You could shoot a PM to Crazy_Rob but I'm not sure if he will help you or not. There are too many members who having the same problem as you. The best thing to do would be leaving him a negative iTrader too.
