how to configure email functionality in joomla 1.7 ???

    I have problem with my email functionality.

    I'm using joomla 1.7.

    I want to know how to configure email functionality in joomla 1.7 .

    Please give me solution regarding this.

    I would have thought that joomla wouldn't have any out of the box, but you'd need a plugin/component.

    What type of emails are you trying to send?

    At first tell the name of your webhost. Some web host such as Ipage do not support such function as far as I know. Or you can make the changes to your joomla website directly by going to your site's admin panel's global configuration.

    Cole001, first update your joomla to latest version of 2.5 - 2.5.6. Than configure in global config - php mail function. If not working, try with smtp and login data for email.
