Hi there, I am redesigning my website and adding more new pages I want to submit the new website in Google. But before this I want to remove the old version of the website from Google's index. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Regards bushib
google will update your site once you uploaded it... so you don't need to remove the old version of your site...
Don't you ask this Every. Single. Day? Matt Cutts on removing urls from google. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/01/remove-your-content-from-google.html
You don´t have to resubmit your new site to Google - Google itself will find the new sites. You just have to upload your new website and (if the Urls of the html-files have changed) have to delete the old files from the server - that´s it! After a few days the new site will be indexed by the Google spiders and sooner or later the old pages will be deleted of the Google index.
Google will re indexed your site again once you update the site. Better if you can upload your sitemap on google webmaster tool so that spiders would crawl your site frequently.
