When creating a new site, you should always start with a well thought out plan on how you are going to approach the content from a search engine point of view. Build good content, write a few pages to target the big keywords then the rest to target long tail keyowrds. as the longs tails will get you more than the simple search term alone.
Why dont you include a temporary link to download the ebook if it is free? That way would be easy for all of us. When you want to remove the link, you can just remove the file.
