I was thinking of a new topic for a website, but I was having a very hard time. Then I wondered how you do it. Do you make a website about a hobby? Or do you pick a profitable, not-competitive topic after thorough research? Please share your ideas. Just consider this thread as one to help each other. Not one to come up with ideas for others. There are several option that you can approach with, something you like say a hobby, something you have knowledge about, the ongoing trends you can find that at google trends, twitter trends, what happening in the news around the world, celebrities. so many ways to go about it.
You can always capitalize on a website if you do it well and can get traffic. If you pick a subject that you enjoy then you will stay interested in it and most likely stick with the project.
