One big indication that you're in the sandbox is ranking poorly on your main keywords, your company would be a great example of this. To get out, based on what i'm reading, you should continue building your site, continue optimizing your keywords and focus on building QUALITY backlinks. I might be totally wrong, but based on an article I'm currently reading, a lot of the aging has to do with your backlinks rather than the site. Which makes sense, can't have old backlinks without an old site.

These couple of steps will not help you get out immediatly, but should expedite the process in a true white hat manner.

just keep on adding new valuable content and high page rank links to your website or blog and one day you will be surprised to see your search engine rankings.

You might as well build a lot of backlinks anyway. So that when you do come out you'll rank high.

    Hi Guys,

Please shed some light on my question over here...

How exactly to know whether a website is "sandboxed" or not...??

Out of all my websites a particular website's backlinks have dropped real fast i.e from 100 to 50 to 20 to a shocking 3 backlinks in the search engine page...!!

Whereas the webmaster's account shows all the 500 links to the website...!!!

Why is google not showing the links in the main search engine page...??

Please do let me know what might be the possible problem over here...

    Thanks a tonne in advance,

    Regards
    Johnny

This is the best recent article about the Google Sandbox:
    http://www.seomoz.org/blog/googles-sandbox-still-exists-exemplified-by-gradercom

In addition to the tests proposed there, you can do this one quickly: search for
    "yourdomainname.com"
in quotation marks. If you don't come up, then yes, you are likely being filtered.

    How to get out?

Ignore the advise about adding content and building quality links, it's bullshit. These things help only if you are NOT in the "sandbox," and they will help your site once you are un-sandboxed, but not till then.

If you don't want to wait, move to a new domain and 301-redirect from the old domain, and that should fix it. Or repeat until it's fixed.

To the person who wondered about coming out the sandbox: read my previous post, it's the only information you need. Ignore the people who keep prattling about "quality content" and "quality backlinks" -- they are spammers who will write one line of any nonsense, just so they can post a link in a sig. But they are stupid spammers because they think it helps them. They don't know any SEO.

OK, I'll bite. So they are trying to help each other by repeating the same meaningless nonsense, in the same words but in no more than in one line, over and over again in the same thread, without paying attention to what has already been said -- and it's their way of helping each other?

By the way, peddling PR is a scam, which makes you a scammer. Now go back to "making great content" and "getting quality backlinks."

Hey, no worries. Meanwhile I thought about it and realized that you might transfer PR with a 301 redirect. Hadn't thought of that at first. Is that how you plan to do it -- keep the ownership/registration/Whois info and just 301? I've never tried it myself. (I was skeptical at first because things drop when domain ownership changes, but on second thoughts 301 seems like a possibility.)

    Peace. :)

OK, I'll bite, let's pretend this is not nonsense. Please tell us how you would target Yahoo and Bing.
