Hello to all forum members. I am newbie here and have two questions: 1. Is this ok to use link cloaker (eg. html page which redirects to my cj link)? If it's ok, whats the safe cloak technique you use? (to not to lose a sale) 2. Is this ok to use cloaked links mydomain.com/cjlink on my site which is advertised on adwords? Best regards from Warsaw. Sorry for my english.
1. It depends on each advertiser, mactep. I suggest that you send an email to each of program managers whose links you'd like to cloak, and ask them if it's okay. Explain exactly what you'd like to do, and why you're going to do it. They may even have suggestions about how you can do it more effectively. 2. This is more of a problem. Google may deny your paid terms if you attempt an immediate redirect, though I suspect that most affiliate managers wouldn't mind as long as you weren't violating any of the their other rules. Be careful not to violate Google's TOS. I think you should always ask your affiliate manager before you do something questionable. Your English is really good! If you're nervous about sending emails to your affiliate managers because of your English, feel free to personal message me the text and I'll look it over for you.
I don't mean to send visitor directly to the vendor website via adwords. I was wondering about getting visitors to my landing page (where are some CJ cloaked links) via adwords. I know few affiliate pages which use this technique. But I like to make things clear.
I think I have what you are looking for. I found this the other day, and it is the best "how to" that I have come accross on link cloaking: It basically shows you how to use PHP to redirect an internal link, like using www. mydomain.com/affilliate_link. html to redirect to <fill in the blank afflilliate link>. http://quityourdayjob.com/blog/2006/12/20/cloak-your-affiliate-links/ Let me know if this helps.
