    Hello everybody,

Here's the thing ...how do you choose words for a campaign?

If you have for an example a starting webshop and a descent SEO (while working on it to make things better) ...at what number of competition you're going to bid?

Are the some kind of standards for that?

    Kind regards,
    ZenSEO

Can I restrict the combination of keywords without any deviation. I tried to do this, but Google still displayed my ads with other combinations. Is there any way that I get the traffic only from Google searches and not from network associates?

Well, iin this case you should 1st check the organic value (SEO value) Vs Paid value (PPC value) and then you should make proper analysis so that you can see what are your keywords at which level so that you do proper research for keywords , following tools can be very handy for this purpose:

    1) spyfu.com
    2) semrush.com

    Thanks

Yes do proper keyword research first it will pay off in the end. Make sure you know your main keywords you want to target and check the competition of those keywords. One good way is to search those keywords "in quotes" in Google and see how many references there are to it. You can use tools to check the ranking position of any competiting websites like http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/keyword-position.html or http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/serp-position-tool.html or http://xinureturns.com/ or http://www.googleposition.com/ are some that I use.

you can play around with the combinations and through the use of negative keywords, you can control which keywords will trigger your ads.

as far as limiting impressions only to google search, this is easily changed in the campaign settings.

You should perform a keyword research - find which ones are worth using - relevant to your business, but not too competitive and not too rarely-searched.

Well for keyword selection for a website you have to rely on google adwords . This is the best option for keyword selection as you will see there competition for globally as well as local so for the keyword selection i dont think so that there is any other better option.

Google adword is the best option to find good keyword based on searches and competition at locally and globally. The other tools are not much effective the google adword. If you choose relevant keyword having high search volume and low competition then those keyword will get ranking on google top position very fast. In this way, these keywords helps in both PPC as well as SEO.

You can research keywords until you are blue in the face, but unless you test things and get real data back it's useless.

Testing is key. When in doubt, put it out there and test it.
