how to choose the right keyword - plese clarify

please clarify...how to pick the right keyword by using "https://adwords.google.com" tool.

if i am targeting my business in "Singapore" and my business services is "Voip"

My doubt is when i search for "voip services" query by selecting location "Singapore"

keyword count are showing like "Global monthly search = 60, 500, and Local monthly search = 260"

1. what is the difference between the Global and local count search count


Please suggest any other tool and ideas to pick the right one

global search is the over all world searchable of keyword and local search is the country wised search in only one country search if you select in Canada then Google ad word show Canada search this is the local monthly search .

Use the local monthly search category as your main concern as Global essentially means nothing.
