    Hello -

Our company is looking to hire someone to work at home to market our websites by various methods such as SEO, Blogging, forums, link trades, etc.

How do we know what people are truly good at what they do, and how do we know if they're just lying through their teeth to get the contract?

If anyone has anyone they can recommend and perhaps back it up with a little bit of "real data" please post it here.

    Cheers!

I would think they would have a portfolio of websites they have done SEO and links for and can prove there worth.. Maybe some referances aswell..

    Mark,
why don't you hire a freelancer with a good portofolio from the main freelancer websites?

I would recommend that as well. Most of the marketing people claim too big of something which they are not. You really have to digg through how much they know.
