    Hi,
    All Dp members,
I just wanted to know how to choose keywords to get a higher PageRank in Google. Definitely, keyword is the most important thing but i am running in doubt. Dropping an example better off explaining in words.
    I have a blog www.stockmarkettoday.co.uk
If i am doing SEO on key word ''stock market today'', this keyword has 135,000 monthly search volume[Google adwords explains] and a huge competition.
If there is a high search volume and huge competition for this keyword, i guess i could have High Page Rank for this keyword. Or what is better possible way to be decisive with the keywords to get higher Page Rank.
Can somebody explains this for me, and if i am doing wrong what should i do to choose keywords to get Page Rank.
    I'm really loosing my mind.
    Thanks.

Well i can give you an example that I faced.

I was doing a chicago lawfirm website. During the SEO phase I realised going for the big keywords "chicago lawyers" "chicago lawfirm" would be futile. I had to focus more on what was in the content and what practice areas the lawfirm dealt with. Once I located several keywords that had the possibility of showing on the first page of google i focused purely on them.

My suggestion to you is focuse on the posts that are made in your blog. Use sub-topics/keywords of the stock market. Be sure to include in your title tags.

I use a site called for a rough idea of the popular key words to use.
    Like
    Stock Market
    Stock
    Stocks
Then should be able to get an idea of what users are searching for they have better programs for doing this but this one is free and works fine.

If your blog is new and has low page rank then it is advisable to find keywords which have medium search volume and low competition and try to write posts on that. This way your pr will not increase, but your traffic will. You can increase your pr by getting high quantity of quality backlinks.

Choose keyword which has very low competition and as vishal suggested here make posts regarding it.

    Hi,
I have analyzed the things in consultation with an SEO expert and came to the fact that a key word must not be longer than 2 words, it should be less competitive.
There are several keyword analysis tools available for free or payable. You can take the help of them to get best suitable keywords for your site.

Keywords don't have anything to do with PR, you need backlinks from high PR sites. And I don't think you have that many searches a month, if you left it on the default "Phrase" match when doing the search try switching it to "Exact"

Wordtracker shows a different number (per day results)
