I can't see anything like that, it says not to just link to articles, but to give a quick introduction, then the link, like I have.

 

You can check your back links using this tools: http://www.seoserp.com/web_tools/backlink_checker.asp

 

I have found that backlinkwatch is the best way to check your websites backlinks without any software.

 

i think alexa also display where your site links exist

 

There are a lot of SEO tools out there for checking backlinks. Even just googling such a think will turn up a lot of results.
