    did you already tried awstat? It's a great traffic tool..

    There is also a widget that can be add into your blog/ site like feedjit. You can check your visitors live performance to your blog.

    i use the inbuilt awstats plugin of cpanel
    additionally i also use the service offered by getclicky.com

    I Recommended Alexa.com and Google Analytic both are excellent tools for checking traffic.

    But you need to submit your request and if you get accepted, then you would have a very good detailed report.

    Personally I like extremetracking.com. They have paid and free version. For my opinion they give you very good detailed report.
