How to check virus on your sites?

I have a few people telling me that my site has a virus but I cant figure out what it is. It could be one of my ads but I don't know.

Is there a way to scan your site to see what is causing the virus?

 

Try AVG - it keeps me away from a lot of "bad" sites

 

Ask your hosting provider to do that for you. You can't do it yourself or have no authority to do that. You can only re-upload your files, scan and check source codes of the files before uploaded them on the host.

Even when you don't ask your host, they do scan every member account on the server, maybe once a week or more, so if you uploaded bad files on your account, they delete them right away, and they suspend your account.
If your host fails to do that, they are not good host. I bet they don't upgrade the server at all.
