How to check the number of backlinks to a specific page?

    Hi everyone

    I recently found out how to check the number of backlinks using Yahoo with linkdomain:domain.tld

    and that shows you all of the backlinks for the entire domain that you specify in place of domain.tld portion as shown above. However I have a question, I checked backlinks on a competitors domain and it showed 10,000+

    However I wanted to check how many backlinks for one specific page on the competitors website. (his blog mydomain.tld/blog/index.php)

    Anyone know a way to filter so it only shows backlinks to a specific page and filters the rest out?

    I'm not sure if Yahoo can do this, how about any other solutions???

    Just make a search on Google to find a tool to check links for internal pages. I personally use SEO Quake (a Firefox plugin) to find links to any page loaded in the browser.

    Try smartpagerank - it shows you nofollow and anchor text OR PR.

    Yahoo site explorer can give you back links for a particular page. Google webmaster tools can also be used to download external links for each page.

    Yes! SEO Quack plugin for Firefox is a great tool to check to find the internal links to a specific page.

    I use SEOquake. It is a cool plugin. It shows you all the info whether it is backlink page rank, alexa rank...

    Well 2 best ways to check do the following query in google and yahoo

    link:sitename.com

    Please take a note , there should be no space between link:sitename , meaning link", " : " and sitename all should be together without any space

    And once you do this search query in google and yahoo , you will see number of backlinks coming to your website

    Now key part here is :
    Google wont show all of them, only few prime ones will be shown by google

    But Yahoo will almost show all of them, When you do the link: is to query in Yahoo it will redirect you to Yahoo site explorer and it will show detailed inlinks in yahoo's term which are nothing but backlinks pointing to your site

    Wow I just used that tool, I have 1915 backlinks all PR0, how the heck do you get higher PR backlinks????:mad:
