How to check other domains that exist on an IP address

This is a useful search as there is speculation about Google checking the other domains that exist on an ip.

This search is done in MSN

typing ip:ip address

what do you do when you find out that multiple sites are hosted on a single IP address

 

If you're not doing anything shady, then there isn't anything to worry about. Many shared hosts have thousands of sites on the same ip. If you're an evil spammer....different ip's, different hosts, different whois, etc.

Interlinking to sites on the same ip is a good spam signal.

Good find on the msn search though, it's one I have never seen.

There is a theory that Google checks the sites that exist on the an ip when ranking a site. Just check that there are no dodgy sites on the ip which may affect your rank.
