    How to check one website it is added sitemap or not ? mostly i check like this homepagedomain/sitemap.xml i am correct ?

    This is only useful if the site calls the file sitemap.xml. If they use another name then you will have a hard time finding it. I personally name my xml files mydomain.xml so I can tell which site they are for.

    Yes. The filename needs to be called robots.txt so it should be easy enough to find.

    http://www.xyz.com/ Just add "sitemap.xml" after domain name
    Example:- "http://www.xyz.com/sitemap.xml"

    you can check in the robots.txt if they use it to specify the sitemap location, or try the most common locations like /sitemap.xml etc
    in other cases where sitemaps are stored in custom locations you don't have any chances of finding them

    Do one thing if you have a mozilla firefox try to install plugin named "seo quake" after successfully installed in your mozilla firefox you can visit any site to see sitemap is available or not for that website.

    If by chance the file's name is called sitemap.xml then you can probably find it by the way you mentioned. If the name is any different then it would be extremely difficult to find it. You can use a browser extension by the name of SEO quake and it will give you the minute details of any website.
