That's unfortunate that that happened to you. That also happened to me a while back. But after a while, I was able to get its rightful place again. So my suggestion is to wait a while..

For those of you who do not know much about sandbox, it's a Google system that any new site will be placed in their so called "sandbox" that it's not going to be indexed right away.

But I'll tell you a secret to get your site out of the sandbox the next day. I was in a SEO competition about 2 years and I got my brand new site indexed by Google on the 2nd day the competition started. Here's how.

--> If you have any site indexed in Google, place a backlink there to your brand new site. Then ping your indexed site. If you don't have any site indexed by Google, then you can find any blog indexed by Google and post your comment and your link. <--

    That's it! Simple, eh?

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,
    Joseph

To check if you are sandboxed, you need to check over the following things:
    1. The site is on a new domain and less than 6 months old
    2. The keywords you aretargeting at are competitive.
    3. Your site is still indexed by Google.
    4. The site ranks well for in other SEs.
    5. The Googlebot visits and crawls the site regularly.
    6. The site has a decent number of unique IBL's and an OK PR
    7. The site haven't commit any tricks that might be penalized.
    8. You have done a good SEO job for the site.

Someone mentioned google grey bar as an indicator for seeing sandbox, its not ture. The greybar has nothing to do with the sandbox effect, it means that either the site is not yet indexed by google or is banned.
I have seen a lot of sites that have a google pr0 (white bar) which are sandboxed so greybar doesn't indicate that.

Explain this a bit. Sandbox effect means the site drops to the end of the ranking. How does that relate to page rank?

If you have a certain pagerank and if google sandbox's you that means your pagerank will drop dramatically. But this will happen occasionally. It's called the google slap.

When webmasters learn about the sandbox filter, their first question is always whether or not their website has been placed in it. Determining whether or not you are in the sandbox is a relatively easy task to do. First, being placed in the sandbox is different than having your website banned.
If you do a search for your domain in Google and they return zero results for your website (and you had been previously listed in Google), there is a chance that you have been banned. One of the best ways to determine if you have been banned is to look at your log files to see if Google is visiting your website. Banned websites typically do not see Google visit their websites, regardless of who is linking to them.
If you have not been banned, but do not rank well with Google, you should look at the quality of your content and the quality of your inbound links. You should also see if you rank well for non- competitive keywords. Remember how the filter affects competitive keywords more than less competitive keywords? Well, you can use this to determine if you have been sandboxed. Finally, if you rank well in all the other major search engines, but do not show up at all in Google's rankings, you have probably been sandboxed.
