How to check maximum supported RAM on laptop?

    Hello,

    I have Acer Aspire 5742 laptop with currently 4GB RAM installed. I want to upgrade its RAM to "maximum" level. I want to know how much RAM this model can support.

    Anyone knows how to check it? Please let me know.

    What OS is it running (and what version), also is it a 32bit laptop or a 64bit?
