    Going back to the thread question, I believe the answer is that you must check your listing position manually and preferably with the cache cleared and/or private browsing enabled.

    I'm sure you'll start to see more and more local SEO tools popping up that facilitate this process.

    Hence, my answer above. Boy you guys need to step up your game. Obviously people are looking for an alternative to looking manually when they ask how to check ranking in Google Places...

    To be honest, I'm losing faith in this forum real fast...
