http://penguinpenaltychecker.com This tool (free & no signup required) shows if you have been hit by the Penguin update, or a different filter/penalty. Useful, as other filters are easier to recover from than Penguin.
thats nothing.. its just showing you the results of pages, and we all know about it very well, nice way to have your site promoted, but its all just junk and useles
webmaster1189 - Did you actually read any of the instructions? The method that the tool uses to show pre-penguin results has been discussed in a number of places - http://www.seroundtable.com/google-penguin-check-15165.html, http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/4451491.htm and others.
It doesn't seem to work for my free blog. Thanks for the links BK. Will check them out, do you know if they will help check my free blog? I only have a few dozen hits a day on them.
Hi MarTh - the tool shows you if you have been hit by the penguin penalty or not (and it is not 100% correct, but every check that I have done works). The Tool does not give you extra links or anything, so I am not quite sure what you mean asking if the links will help - it can only help you decide what sort of action to take for your site.
I think this can be saw live, if you are not anymore on the front page for a keyword than that is it, you have been hit by penguin.
I think it's not that easy, between mid March and mid April Google released three WMDs (Weapons of Marketers Destruction ) - A new update to the Panda Algorithm. - The penalty (?) or at least deindexing of links from blog networks - The Penguin Update, aimed at "anchor text stuffing". And I can't imagine how (or why) they would roll out these things in a single day, I guess they did it gradually, so if you have a site that kept their ranks, dropped some positions, or completely tanked (I have sites in the three cases) it's hard to know which one hit you...
Google's algorithm is always being tweaked. However, the Penguin update appears to have cleared out a number of sites in many categories in which I take an interest. At the simplest level its about checking rankings for the more competitive terms. The next thing is to review the level of organic search traffic recorded in your analytics.
Who the hell needs to check. When the update happened, if your traffic and revenue dropped then you got hit. Sometimes I think common sense is only available for native english speaking people.
It is quite simple.... 1. Check the keywords rankings manually. 2. Check the Google webmaster for any notification. 3. Check the Google analytics for Traffic post 24th May [when Penguin updates came into effect] as well as after 19th May [Panda Updates] The site link you have given is crap and serves no value at all..Please avoid using these tactics to promote your site traffic.
