How to check if a site is sandboxed?

Three days ago i launched a new site. An article site with 40000+ articles. My mistake was, i added all of the articles at once. I submitted a sitemap, submitted url to google, but nothing happened for 3 days. I'm afraid that google thought this is a scraper site. Because domain was also new.

How can i check whether or not my site is sandboxed?

And is it normal not to find any results for query site:mysite.com in 3 days for such a large site?

did you aquire any backlinks yet? and yes it's normal not to find yourself after 3 days. Check your web logs for googlebot.

I got my initial google listing in 5 days because I had two links from other sites with PR's of 3-5. As far as sandboxed, my understanding is that's a definite. I'm taking the time to write articles and establish backlinks. I'd think you'd be sandboxed for many months as that seems the standard from what I've read.

ps. how do you get that many articles?

Its more than likely your site will be sandboxed, just stick with it, build links, use signatures! add the CO-OP and get ready for a long hard slog!!

check your allinurl for your stie, and check your sites ranking for the same term. thats the only way I know how to tell. Pretty much, if you rank like arse for many keywords your optimized for and many irrelevant sites are above you then your sandboxed.

yep, I'd wait at least 3 to 12 months, then start checking your rankings.

I presume that these are in fact scraped articles (due to adding 40000 at once). My question is why worry whether google thinks this is a scraper site because thats what it is?

this is not a scraper site. well, articles are not unique, but they are well organized and categorized. and there is no keyword stuffing.

origin of the content: i bought some article databases, and i am keeping their author infos. these articles can be published anywhere if content is not changed and links are live.

for the sandbox issue: what do you advise me to do? is it too late, or can i prevent google to sandbox me if i take some of the articles offline?

Have a search on DP for the sanbox, all your questions will have been answered here at some time - The general concensus is building Too many links too fast is the issue that may help trigger the sandbox, but imojust go for it!

2 months is very short, 6 months is usually the quickest for a new site.

But since you have 40,000 duplicated articles, i'd be surprised to see you anywhere in the SERP's ever

I believe I'm sandboxed and perhaps due to the same reason as zedzero. I started as a blogger site and then converted to my own url and ported all the old blog posts over.

So basically a new site popped up with a months worth of posts (not 40000 though).

So I've been in the SB since April. I've got TONS of links going out and many coming in. How long til google "likes" me?

i have removed all of the content, and now my site automatically adds 10 articles per hour.

do you think i still have any chance not to be sandboxed?
google still doesn't show any results for both link:url and site:url, but it's same with msn too. maybe they haven't visited my site even once. is it possible?

Why so quick?, the best advice I can give is to study how often googlebot drops by and then make sure there is different content their. Googlebot wont drop by every hour so that is not necessary.

However, the problem is going to be duplicaion. The articles which may appear different to other sites but in general is exactly the same. I dont have any answers to this
