I have a custom VPS. In my plan i was offered 1 GB RAM . But i feel i don't have such amount of RAM. How i can check how much RAM is dedicated to my VPS?
Is there any option to check it independently?

In SSH type top and check how much free RAM and how much used RAM you have.

You can type "free -o" from SSH it will show ram and how much is used, and cached.

I should also say check out what they mean by 1gig of ram. Some providers really give you like 256, or 512, but allow you to burst to 1gig in a time of need. Not saying this is the case, but I have seen some smaller providers do this to get some sales.

I'm not sure as I have never used hyper-vm. Chances are if says 1gig ram it is true, but the best way is to SSH into the VPS and check.

If your host is using OpenVZ, then typing free only shows the burstable RAM.
