You can check easily on Google index pages through Site:domain name, you can also monitoring your website index pages on Google and also other things like virus information, outgoing links, and other information through Google webmaster tools. another thing is that if you are talking about website position or ranking then search these keywords on Google which keywords you have to target for entire website.

With regards to your own web site, the only reliable data are those from your google webmaster account (your site in the web).

As for any site (your own site or another one), use the search operator site:http://www.yoursite.com This is not as reliable than data from google webmaster.

As for a particular page, use the well known search operators
    cache:http://www.yoursite.com/thepage/
    or info:http://www.yoursite.com/thepage

cache: is better than info: because cache provides you with the last indexation date.

Site:, cache:, and info: give you information on indexation, not on ranking.

You can simply do a search in Google for your site, but you have to be aware that different Google country domains will give different results
