as title above, how you guy check how fast google index/visit your website right after you update your content.

I post up 1 article at my blog, I try to search

site:myurl.com "my topic" but come out no result

after 45minute, I try to do the same search again, and it show the result.

does this mean google bot already index my website?

if my method wrong, can any one point me the right method?

I believe that would be correct.

You could get an account with G's webmaster tools which will give you more info on what is indexed and any problems google has encountered.

you are wright, but you still need to publish fresh contents often, then google will visit your site often too.

That's correct and pretty fast. I usually ping and bookmark my post to ensure it will be easily seen by SE bots.

I too have been recently reading about newly created blog sites getting indexed in Google within some hours even after the webmasters have begun making their first posts and this is great because it already proves that Google is looking for fresh contents all the time and regardless of the age of a domain name or just how many backlinks it has, it continues fetching the content parts and creating a fast indexing profile for that.

It is okay, but it is better to get Google webmaster tool. It will give you the full details about your site. Good luck

Just add your blog in webmaster tool and there is a Option of Crawl rate. then you can measure how fast G is indexing your site

    Thanks

If it is a blog, then you should go to Google blog search and on the right hand side there are links to narrow searches (last 12 hours, last 24 hours etc.)

This works well for me for blogs. Most of my blog posts appear within an hour or two.

There is tow different mechanism to crawl/index sites, means search engine use different mechanism for both sites and blogs.

For blogs it user ping mechanism, so after publish your blog post you can see on searches.

Ya, I am using ping mechanism like you mention, but I heard that if ping to many website, it will cause your blog having problem.(meaning just like spam across all the ping website)

    does this real?
