Well i just googled it for you "copyscape alternative" . Try http://plagium.com/ . Seems good. Looks much easier than copyscape.

Put a few words from the article in quotes and search google for it. Thats what all these plagiarism checkers do anyway.

Try out Grammarly. It will not only check the content for originality but it will check the grammar as well. Only one problem, it doesn't show actually where the problem is, until you don't have paid account here.

Well, if you are serious about being a webmaster, you might as well invest the small amount of money that it takes to check content on Copyscape. Chances are, it will pay off for you in the long run. When I was a webmaster, I only payed a grand total of 5$ a month on average. That seems like a small price to pay in order to figure out that your content is original.

I use Copyscape but they have limit on how many page you can check everyday. You can become a paid member but if you're on limited budget, you can always use blackhat method.

Seems to me you need a new writer rather than a better way to check for duplicate content.

Google. It is the best way. Just take a section of the article and run a search with quotes. If its out there you will find it.

Using google takes time because you'll have to paste different sections of your article and it's just about 32 words each time.
I use copyscape, it saves time and its reliable.

I always use Google search for text that sounds too polished. A text that is perfect grammatically, has classy words and is properly formed, has a higher chance of being copied from somewhere.

Also, were you seriously looking for some help or just wanted to start a thread? You never really responded to anyone's comments.

I don't think any duplicate content checking is exist? just try to use your mind. if you think that your article is duplicate, then take article title or some sentences from your article body and post on to google search bar.. then, you'll see if there any duplicate article exist then you'll able to see in search results.. OK

You can use Google because Google has mostly figured how to sort this out. It will drop one version and index and rank another one.
