Is their any tools or software to check that your content is unique and not copy past stuff. Suppose i write an article so what are the ways to find either it is authentic or not??

Write quality, learn to, or find someone who can. Then the issue should never arise

Lagend, one minute ago, I had the following email and my response:

On Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 11:27 AM,

    Dear ____ Article Directory:

You have an illegal, unauthorized reproduction of one of my articles for Yahoo! on your site...and to top it off, you are making it available to the world as a free HTML file!

Please remove it immediately. Here is a link to the original article, which you will see you have plagiarized word for word. Attributing my byline in no way makes this OK.

Several people have done this, and I will shortly be billing all of the offenders who do not remove the material at $1 a word.

    MY RESPONSE

NEVER EVER THREATEN ME, YOU CHOSE TO CONTROL YOUR DISTRIBUTION.

YOU ARE BREAKING VIOLATIONS UNDER THE CANN-SPAM ACT.

DEAL WITH ME, THE FTC, YOUR ISP AND YOUR WEBHOST (or I can), OR CORRECT YOUR OWN MISTAKES.
TO ALSO INFORM YOU, TAKE THIS AS NOTICE TO BEING BANNED, Any future attempts to invade will require immediate action.

I do not understand why you posted your emails or your answer. But, I feel they should be addressed.

I have lost count of how many times I've found one of my articles posted on Yahoo! Answers, forums, blogs and even business websites. I have spent way too much time having to send off DMCA notices to Yahoo!, MySpace, webhosts and others.

One woman even claimed her daughter the veterinary student wrote the piece. One "dog expert" is including my article as a "free bonus" to folks purchasing his ebook but puts it on his site where Google and anyone else can find it. One blog owner got quite nasty and said that since she had a disclaimer stating "if anyone knew if any of the content on her site was copied to let her know" she was innocent of any wrongdoing. The fact that the piece had my site's name in it meant nothing to her or any of the others.

Granted the email you received was personal and did not follow the official guidelines for a DMCA and based upon what you posted I have no way of knowing whether the allegation is true or not, I must say that I am disappointed in your reply. I've lost count as to how many people have claimed authorship of my work. The theft is certainly not my own mistake nor is it most likely the fault of your complainant.

As a frequent victim of copyright infringement, I do hope you at least looked at the two pieces of work and the person's website prior to firing off such a heated response.

Sorry, for the emotional response. This is an issue that makes me wish I could meet some of these people in a dark alley and let them know how I truly feel about their theft of other people's work. If )(*)&&&^%$$# Google would truly not index duplicate content as they claim, a lot of this crap would stop. But until then, writers and honest website owners have to protect what is theirs.

YMC: I think we are on the same page. I did not fill in the blanks.

The complainer is a "spammer" and maybe a scammer. The last part I reserve judgment on until I talk to their headquarters, where she might be one of their independent contractors (headhunter). First this was not an article, but disguised as one, advertising 6 jobs she was looking to fill.

She paid to have her "article distributed", and in the wording it states there is an option for it to temporarily appear, permanently, or rejected. Having very few blatant scammers, it is easier to give for my site to give authors immediate approval. Then later, with mods, articles are deleted, like this one.

It is my belief that her headquarters did not approve of her actions, so she is trying to blame it on the innocents. NO ONE TOOK HER INFORMATION, SHE SUBMITTED IT. In fact, some of the jobs offered might be those she did not procure, but stole the info from others, hoping to cash in.

That was my purpose of this true example. Someone who should get hung, falsely calling wolf, while other honest people are being ripped off. Next you know Google sentiment, when someone on their free will is the submitter of exact duplicate coverage over and over.

If you still hold the viewpoint, how do you handle spammers? Mine is zero tolerance.

I don't cotton at all to spammers. Your first post clearly implied that someone claiming an article appearing on your site was stolen would be basically told to drop dead or be sued. Seemed incredible that someone trying to help writers would turn around and respond that way but it certainly looked that way from your earlier post.

YMC: I further confirmed my beliefs that this an out and out spammer, and had others report back the same response as mine.

They are not going to ruin their reputation on this spammer, and have banned her. It will take a call to their headquarters to see if she was taking unfair advantage of their other independent contractors.

I never teach any one to copy, scrape, or steal another person's work, and if you every see it I would like to see it. Just because I do not worry, if my works or pieces are taken does not mean I believe it is right. However, if a writer is creating a large enough quantity of quality, it is not worth the time wasted aggravation. It is really often child's play that will backfire, and often they fade out. ---- Life is too short to play small town cop.

On an outright spammer, or a scammer there should be zero tolerance, and reaction should be fast. How you handle spammers and scammers is up to you.

Hey Perry, will you please be honest and let us know one thing? Does any of the 3,471 posts made by you till now, represent a topic started by you or do you just jump into any thread and make an acrid remark/ acrid remarks?

Parsiban. You can add this to that moss filled stone, stuck in the mud.

    100% of nothing equals nothing.

Apparently something not taught in Canada?

Amazing the more posts he makes, the more mail I receive. Could it be that everyone else here is so stupid except a couple cronies? I hardly think so. See how a plan for an article directory and forum by someone who never made one, could only come from a deep throat. All us noobies with 40 years experience are evaluated by a wobbly can of beer and a hamburger. Waiting for a crude response by his words of dribble so more members can see the light.

P-R, you're obsessed with thoughts of Dyadvisor. You're like a small monkey which jumps on people. Jump back on your palm. Don't stretch your inflamed brain replying me. I'm just sorry for your mental deficiency, buddy.
