How to check change in rankings and different rankings in different regions?

    1. Is there a tool that I can check which keywords my site (and inner pages also) rank for in google (and for bing/yahoo as well)? I know I have used one before, but I can't find it again it seems.

Also it would be a plus if I could see the changes in rankings in recent times. Preferably free as well :p

    2. Why is there so that my rankings differ from regions in google? For example, I rank #4 in google in my country, #2 in the target country, #196 in US, and so on. Any way I can get it higher in different regions, or just continue working on the site and hope for the best?

yes you can and IBP will do this for you. IBP has the ability to check and rank sites for specific countries and search engines so you can then offer local seo services.

    Hi,
Have you tried GeoRanker ? I have been using Georanker for the last two months and i can attest that it does more than you can expect. It allows you to generate ranking report of specific keywords and how your site and the sites of competitors ranks on your area and any other areas you have a presence. You can also set the tool to produce report on a daily, weekly or even a monthly basis.

I hope i have helped you.

    Good luck!

You see the differences in rankings per country because Google returns search results it sees as the most relevant depending on geographical location of queries. Probably the most obvious factor of rank difference is a country-specific TLD: I mean if you chose to target just one country, then you may use a country-specific TLD, and all the way around - if you target multiple countries, then a generic TLD is better.

Another point is that getting backlinks from sites with a country-specific TLD may result in better rankings in a target country. Just try adding some more ‘local’ keywords, may be writing a few articles in which you’ll have a chance to use these specific keywords or local terms related to the target country.

As for your question about a tool to check rankings in search engines – yes, there are a plenty of tools, however I am not a big expert on free ones. As per my experience, Rank Tracker is the best one (and it is available in a free version). It shows the difference in ranking as compared to the previous check, and also tracks your site' rankings in Google as if from different countries of the world. I think this feature is extremely helpful for those who's targeting a country different from one's own.

Well this is a great tool http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/keyword-position.html, but it doesn't have the ability to search for a particular region.

Well, there is an addon with Firefox which tells you about your ranking if it is changed, I don't remember the link but you can search it in Google with related keywords..
