How To Check Backlinks ?

I have tested so many tools for checking back links but not getting proper results. All are showing different results. Can anyone help me to get the right way of checking the back links.

 

Google Webmaster Tools is the best way, but there is no way to find out the exact number...

 

If you want to check back links for website so, you can use backlinkwatch for that.

 

I am using Majestic SEO and Google Webmaster Tools for checking backlinks

 

You can also use the ahrefs.com, it also shows the new links and recently died links. But Google Webmaster is the best way to find the exact number of back links and referring domains.

 

Last year i was using yahoo site explorer but not it's not working probably merged with bing.

 

During last one year their were many changes in SEO tools, some emerged and many of them drowned.

 

Backlinkwatch is the best backlink checking tool.

 

backlinkwatch.com is great but it takes a while for the backlinks to register so you wont see fresh ones. I do not know how well SEO Spyglass works but I believe Traffic Travis offers this feature... maybe only for your own site in the free version, still a great SEO tool.

 

Try SEO Spyglass... or Link Explorer from Bing Webmaster Tools... Maybe it help you more

 

I think the results in Google Webmaster is what you should follow mainly because these are results from Google. I doubt you'd really get one straight answer because some tools only look at indexed backlinks while other tools count all backlinks to your site.
