How to check backlinks

I want to know how to check backlink? I tried three free backlink checker tools but all displayed result = "0". I wrote the domain name in the box and hit submit button. I tried to put some other famous domain name like digital point forum, warrior forum, emoneyspace forum, but result was same. what is the problem? please help me.

there are lots of online tools available on internet.
but you can manually check it by searching in google like that type link: and your domain name by that you can know about your website backlinks

SEOMOZ website has some great backlinkchecker. I used it for my website to see anchor links like coupons connecting to ontimdeals Great tool to use. Can figure out what you need to work on.

search Link:domain.com in Yahoo was a good method.
But closed now.

 

Firstly you describe which tool you are already used .

 

you can simply download google toolbar and from there you can find third option under page rank menu from there you can find backlink of google towards to your site....

Many backlink checker site have not correct backlink data but tool of SEO MOZ (open site explorer ) is much better then all other

For me, Webmaster tools is most trusted way to check backlinks. Additionally I use backlinkwatch . com too. There are many others but results shown by these two sources are most accurate.
