Someone told me to use "link: www.abc.com" to check backlink. But I found it can only get the number of <a href="http://www.abc.com">www.abc.com</a> Code (markup): can't get the mumber of <a href="http://www.abc.com">abc</a> Code (markup): . Really?thnks
Try link:abc.com link: abc.com link: http://abc.com and all other variations of this in major search engine to get a clear picture of back links. Most of the result will be different as they will show the back links indexed by that search engine. you can also go to linkpopularity.com to check linkpoularity of your sites. cheers money_train
Yahoo would be better than other. https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ Google likes to hide some result?
What's happening in the world right now.! If you want to know your backlinks in Google and MSN Type link:www.abc.com do not use space because there is a syntax for checking baclinks. link:www.website.com
With the space you are not using the link: operator, you are actually searching for Link: & www.abc.com so it will show you pages that have the word link and the domain. Google's link operator is purposely broke, so its darn near worthless. Use yahoos site explorer, it lets you eliminate links from the domain and shows you a lot more actual links. A souped up version can be found here: http://johannesmueller.com/tools/yse/
Yeah, Google do no show all the backlinks so it is pointless checking them if you want to see who is linking to your site.
Its in this thread: http://sitexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ Anyway, use an operator like linkdomain etc and it brings you to it for the results
