how to check backlinks of a site

    I thought that putting :link before the address of a website used to show you who was linking to that site but its not working for me in google with IE- anyone know how to do this? -thanks in advance :D

    LINK:MyWebsite.com

    you had the : and the 'LINK' reversed.

    Sites like backlinkwatch and SearchEngineGenie.com are helpful too.

    P.S backlink search in MSN no longer works, they stopped it for the time being.
