I write articles occasionally for them and target keywords for each of them. I'd like to displace other ezine articles which are targeted for that same word but can't find out how many links they have going back to it or even just a sample of a few. I've tried a variety of tools from SEO Suite to random "backlink" checkers in google search to no avail. Can anyone help me with this? I've written a recent article for a niche which has virtually no competition yet and one dude already had an article which ranked for that from like a week earlier so I'm thinking how hard can it be to take him out. Edit I found this site: http://www.checkbacklinks.net/ ... which is the first I've seen to actually give me backlinks of any kind. I noticed though that every backlink listed is from Ezine itself. Not other articles linking to it for a deliberate link wheel, but from ezine itself, below other articles in the "check out these articles as well" section. Could these "links" account for his well ranking or is checkbacklinks.net not showing me a bunch of stuff? That's extremely lucky if the guy has done nothing to linkbuild to the article but Ezine just inexplicably rewarded him with a bunch of on site links.
Thanks for the handy link ....the author is probably linking to the article from other articles he has on ezinearticles.
That's my point though, all of the other links are from articles from different authors within the same niche on Ezine. And the links aren't in the articles themselves, they're below the articles in the "more articles on this subject" area as I mentioned above.
YEs, that is the structure of the directory. you will get such automatic links. you can check backlinks in Yahoo Siteexplorer also
At first copy the url of your ezine article then go to http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker here you will see a box past your ezine articles url there now click on check. Thats is. Thanks
